ABOUT 2ND WINDS AUSTRALIA

We are open by appointment only - please email or call to arrange a time. Thank you!

2nd Winds Australia specialises in high quality used wind & brass instruments to suit all budgets and skill levels. Most of our instruments come with a 12-month warranty on mechanical parts & pads. Our instruments are serviced by Sax Alive (Rob Davidson) & KM Woodwind.

2nd Winds Australia is a licensed 2nd hand dealer and is managed by multi-instrumentalist and teacher, Gideon Brazil.

We are based in Brunswick West, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, however we will happily ship instruments anywhere at excellent rates.  

Instruments can be picked up OR posted via Australia Post. Domestic postage costs are approx: $50 for Alto Sax, $80 for Tenor Sax, $25 for Flute/Clarinet/Oboe, $15 for Mouthpieces. INTERNATIONAL shipping at cost, please ask for a quote! (mouthpieces approx $28 international)

Gideon Brazil is a professional musician (saxophone, flute & clarinet) and music teacher. Gideon has performed with numerous high profile artists and local acts in many styles, including: Gotye, Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers, Vince Jones, Eddie Perfect, Vika & Linda Bull and Orchestra Victoria, to name a few. Gideon plays regularly with - Gideon Brazil QuintetAntelodic, Robbie Melville's smallCHESTRA, Paige Duggan Band, Casey BennettoHoodoo Mayhem.

Gideon also leads his own bands.  In 2008 Gideon Brazil & The Natives released an album of Gideon’s compositions entitled ‘Yma Jam Yma’.
