*SOLD* 1924 Conn New Wonder Soprano Saxophone

100 year old satin silverplate Conn New Wonder Soprano Saxophone - in beautiful condition. Serial #: 139XXX dates it to 1924. Low pitch, rolled tone holes, gold wash bell. A really great playing horn with a spectacular tone. Sound is particularly thick and resonant with an excellent upper register. Palm key tuning is actually very good with the right match mouthpiece.
This instrument has been overhauled by Gabriel Vatavu in Brisbane a while ago, and then hardly played since. It was just checked and serviced for the sale and comes with a 12 month warranty on all mechanical parts and pads. It is fantastic condition throughout. 
Comes in its’ original Conn case with latches still working well. The purple velour interior is very good also, although it needs some more padding to be safe carrying around in this case.
