1930s Silverplate Martin Stencil Alto Saxophone - “Peates Music-house”
This beautiful old Martin stencil has been completely overhauled and had just been setup by Rob Davidson at Sax Alive.
It is playing great - with a stunning sound and excellent intonation! These old horns are a fantastic choice for someone on a budget wanting a unique tone and a seriously funky look with split bell keys and soldered on toneholes.. The satin silver plate is excellent throughout, with an area of bright silverplate around the bell. The Gold wash bell is still evident, however, it has faded. There are a couple of repairs on the bow and one ding.
The neck has matching serial number and is in fantastic condition.
This instrument is sold with an aftermarket case in excellent conditionand a 12 month warranty on all mechanical parts and pads.
If you also need accessories, please get in touch and I can help you to choose a mouthpiece, neck strap, etc., that will suit this horn.
