1950s Beaugnier Special Perfect Alto Saxophone

A beautiful playing Beaugnier Special Perfect Alto Saxophone. This is a rare horn that has been played quite a bit, however the mechanism is still tight and it plays well over the entire range. It has just been fully checked and serviced and had a handful of new pads installed. It comes with a 12 month warranty on all mechanical parts and pads. 
It does have some previous repairs around the neck tenon receiver on the body. This has been resoldered and is very solid, with no issues.

Beaugnier saxophones are high quality instruments that were hand made in Paris mid-century, at the same time as top Selmer, SML Buffet and other well-known makers. Their saxophones were often sold under other names, especially as the highly regarded top-of-the-line Vito saxophones.
Built for quality as a top line pro instrument, it has the best assortment of features that you can find, including comfortable ergonomics with modern-style keywork, and very good intonation. The tone is very much French, like a mid century Selmer, but is a bit brighter and more projecting than most Mark VI’s. The core is rich and you can easily play any style of music on this.
