1950s New York Meyer Baritone Saxophone Mouthpiece - Gabriel Vatavu .106 reface

1950s New York Meyer Baritone Saxophone Mouthpiece - Gabriel Vatavu .106 reface

This is a seriously rare and spectacular playing mouthpiece. It was refaced to .106 by Gabriel Vatavu (Brisbane) and is now playing with a stunning big, vibrant and full tone, but not harsh and biting. It has plenty of punch for funk and pop gigs though! It has bug scooped out side walls and a lovely roll over baffle that this era of Meyers were known for. New York USA stamped on shank. It has a few nicks on the table towards the back, so doesn’t affect playability in any way.

It feels great to play and the hard rubber is solid and helps make it feel full and resonant. I haven’t played a piece quite like it to be honest… it’s a beauty! Comes with the vintage ligature pictured. Baritone players, you have to try this. Tip size wise, it feels like an Otto Link 7* or thereabouts.
