1975 Selmer Mark VII Tenor Saxophone - one of the first ever made!

Fantastic playing 1975 Selmer Mark VII Tenor Saxophone! This is one of the first Mk7’s ever made, being the 33rd serial number from the beginning of production. So I would guess that Selmer were still very meticulous and paying close attention to the manufacturing process - as this is the best Mk7 I have played.

This stand out Selmer horn has a killer tone and excellent response over the entire instrument. It has been completely repadded and very well setup by Phil Noy just a few months back and has not been played much since. It comes with a custom made hand hammered copper neck that definitely helps it to project and respond well - however the Selmer Mk7 neck included has the best tone in my opinion. I have tried it with a Mark VI neck and a Tino Schucht neck and these both took this horn to another level.

This horn has been relacquered at some point and there are a couple resolders (on the low C guard). The horn has some some scratches, lacquer crazing and a few minor pinhead dings but these do not affect the way it plays in any way.

Perfect tone for jazz, pop and anything in between, this is a horn for an advancing student to professional wanting a sound that will turn heads!

It comes in its original Selmer case with 2 necks and a 12 month warranty on all mechanical parts and pads.
