1977 Selmer Mark VII Alto Saxophone
Spectacular condition Selmer Mark VII Alto Saxophone from 1977, made in Paris, France. This instrument has been played very lightly and has spent most of its life in its case, in storage. Most recently it has been owned by a professional musician - one of Australia’s best tenor players. He had it completely repadded by Steve Giordano in Sydney, then it has been played only a handful of times since.
There are no dings whatsoever - no damage to speak of at all. A few light scratches is all. This saxophone has original lacquer at approximately 95%. The engraving is gorgeous!
It is an exceptional playing horn with all the grunt expected from these early Mark VII’s and this one has a really sweet nature too - there is warmth in the upper register, full body tone throughout and the altissimo is particularly good.
It has just been serviced and will come with a 12 month warranty on all mechanical parts and pads.
