1980s Julius Keilwerth Special Tenor Saxophone

This is a fantastic playing Julius Keilwerth Special Tenor Saxophone from the early 1980s - this is basically a Couf Superba 1 or an early SX90 if you like and it has got the solid Couf keyguards, key rollers and engraving - but is clearly marked as a Julius Keilwerth, made in Germany. It has straight toneholes and features a high F# key. I guess you could call it a transitional SX90.

It has been fully overhauled and the setup was just done by Rob Davidson at Sax Alive. It is playing ridiculously well!! It’s got a great big, full, fat tone over the whole range and it can absolutely scream when pushed! The neck is in excellent shape with no issues whatsoever. The lacquer is all original and still has about 85% coverage. The engraving is quite spectacular on this horn!

It comes in its original case with some old stickers, but it is in excellent condition and still holds the horn well and keeps it safe from being damaged. Latches and handle work well too. Handle on the end of case also.

This instrument comes with a 12 month warranty on all mechanical parts and pads.
