Rare C.1965 G Leblanc Rationale Alto Saxophone - superb!!

This is an extremely rare G. Leblanc Paris - “Le Rationnel” (Rationale system) model Alto Saxophone. Stunning condition with approx 95% original lacquer.
It has just been painstakingly overhauled by Rob Davidson at Sax Alive ($!!) and is playing superbly over the entire range of the horn. This model completely re-conceptualises the tone hole/keywork layout of the saxophone and they have designed a wonderfully in tune and ergonomic instrument which looks and feels quite different to the standard saxophone design - some will attest it is a major improvement! The high F# placement is genius - a very intuitive design. 
The Leblancs tone is focussed and lively - it feels precise and responsive to play. Intonation is exceptional and the added keywork allows for a smooth transition into the altissimo range. 
This instrument would suit a collector or pro player who is looking for something special that will stand out - it’s a really great playing horn for anyone from beginner to professional.
It comes in its original case - latches work great, it’s in excellent condition however the internal padding has compressed over time, so I have put in some foam to protect the horn from moving about. The inside may need some refurbishment in the future.
It also comes with a 12 month warranty on all mechanical parts and pads.
