1970s Yamaha YTS-31 Tenor Saxophone - full custom rebuild by Phil Noy

Exceptional playing early 1970s (4 digit serial number!) Yamaha YTS-31 Intermediate model Tenor Saxophone. This instrument has been completely rebuilt by Phil Noy. It has a new neck receiver on the body and has been completely repadded with Phil’s handmade roo pads. A number of dents have been removed and there are a few resolders also. The overhaul was completed less than a year ago.
It has been paired with an excellent playing hand hammered copper neck from a Chinese manufacturer, well known for producing saxophones for high-end brands. It has great warmth and projection. This is perfect for someone who doesn’t care about having the most expensive Selmer, but wants something that sounds beautiful, has some vintage cred and is quite unique. It’s great for jazz, funk, pop and soul music, but could be put to work on anything and it would shine!
This instrument absolutely sings and is in fantastic condition throughout, and will have a presale service.
It comes in a great condition BAM Cabine contoured flight case with excellent backpack straps. The handle has received some reinforcement, but still works well.
