Yanagisawa 901 Prima Limited 2000 Alto Saxophone - solid silver neck!
Yanagisawa 901 Prima Limited 2000 Alto Saxophone. The 901 is the predecessor to the AWO1.
This is an amazing playing and rare Yanagisawa Alto Saxophone - 901 Limited 2000, made in Japan. It is in spectacular condition throughout with no dents or dings whatsoever. It features a solid silver, then gold plated neck that gives this instrument a unique playing feel and tone like you won’t believe! It has so much character - solid silver is a wonderful alloy to use on saxophones as it gives the performer extra body and complexity in their tone and added response. It feels a bit like driving a sports car! Gold plated, solid silver necks are only available on special order, although plain solid silver necks are available for $1399 alone. One of the greatest model saxophones ever is the King Super 20 that also featured a solid silver neck.
It also features a copper thumb hook and octave key thumb touch. This adds mass which complements the tone as well as adding a very cool look.
This instrument has just been fully checked and serviced, receiving a few new pads and is now playing exceptionally well over the entire range. It comes with a brand new Neotech neckstrap (as well as the original Yanagisawa strap), Yanagisawa mouthpiece, ligature, cap, pull through cloth, cork grease and original case in excellent condition (with keys for lock). It also comes with a 12 month warranty on all mechanical parts and pads.
